I noticed a considerable drop in my maximum download speed after connecting my trusty old 2200E directly to the ADSL modem. It turns out the Vigor 2200E can’t handle WAN speeds higher than 6MBit as the internal processor is too slow. Time for a new one I guess. In the meantime I’ve switched back to the Linux based firewall/router which does an excellent job.
